INCODIO and SCALE-RT – “ new tools for automotive Software-in-the-Loop applications

Software-in-the-Loop simulation provides advantages at an early test stage and for automated calibration of an ECU-software (e.g. engine and transmission control) in the laboratory.

INCODIO und SCALE-RT – new tools for automotive SiL-Applications The original software of an ECU coupled with continuous models of the vehicle is then simulated by means of one or several PCs.

The original software of the ECU is designed for special microprocessors and includes C Files as well as Files for the description of the dynamic behavior of a vehicle function (MSR, OSEK/VDX, AUTOSAR) and for measurement and calibration variables (ASAM-MCD-2MC).

Additional changes have to be implemented before realizing Software-in-the-Loop simulation of the original software, because of microprocessor specific commands and calibration data specific record layouts. Another challenge is to correctly validate the ECU software and the function of the original software.

The new tools INCODIO® by SYSTECS and SCALE-RT by COSATEQ perfectly support this application.

INCODIO® integrates the original ECU software and couples with simulation system SCALE-RT to perform any automotive SiL applications.
